Why has my boiler locked out?

• Run out of oil.
• Leak on oil line or connections.
• Fuel contamination water/sludge.
• Component failure.

What can I do?

• Check your oil level - don't just rely on your tank monitor (if fitted).
• Check along oil line for any wet spots or leaks.
• Check fire valve hasn't tripped (button on underside should be pressed in).
• Make sure timer/programmer/thermostat are actually calling for heat.
• Try and reset your boiler - if the boiler doesn't reset after a couple of tries then get in touch.

Why should I have my boiler serviced?

• Safety - by having an annual service you have the best chance of your boiler being safe to use and not leaking any carbon monoxide into your home.
• Efficiency - A sooty boiler or dirty nozzle can cause excess oil usage as your boiler will be working harder.
• Life Span - regular servicing can help to extend the life of your boiler, reduce breakdowns and the need for call outs.  If your boiler is under warranty then it requires servicing to keep warranty valid.
